West Paces Area, Georgia
Buckhead’s West Paces area has retained the lush forest cover that many of the newer Atlanta suburbs have lost, making it a desirable area to live in by many. The West Paces neighborhood runs from the center of Buckhead and joins with Peachtree Road at the southern tip of Roswell Road.
History of West Paces Area, GA
From the 1830’s to the early 19th century, Paces Ferry traversed the Chattahoochee River near Atlanta. It was run by Hardy Pace, who was one of the city’s founders. Nowadays, West Paces Ferry Road runs from the center of Buckhead Village to the west, where it dead-ends in Paces.
