History of Memorial Park, GA

In 1929, Memorial Park was gifted to Atlanta by former Senator Hoke Smith, J.W. Bedell and the Howell family, development began four years later.  Many of the original trees, planted as a memorial forest, still shade the streets and add to the picturesque setting throughout the neighborhood.
