Garden Hills is located in Buckhead Atlanta, between Piedmont Road and Peachtree Road. Due to the neighborhood’s active garden club, holiday gatherings, and civic association it can be hard to run out of things to do.
History of Garden Hills, GA
This neighborhood was developed in 1925 by prominent Atlanta lawyer Phillips Campbell McDuffie. McDuffie also established the Garden Hills Corp, and promoted the community as “Beautiful Garden Hills.” His vision was a tight-knit community with a public pool and community center surrounded by residences. Today there are about 750 homes and multiple parks throughout the neighborhood.
